Ruse – the final stop for the 2019 IP roadshow on anti-counterfeiting09.10.2019
On October 9, 2019 ARSIS Consulting finished off the 2019 IP roadshow on anti-counterfeiting with a training session in Ruse. The event was attended by customs inspectors from Ruse, Svishtov and Lom Customs offices who heard presentations on dozens of brands that have submitted applications for action and listed Bulgaria among the countries where the assistance of the customs authorities is requested. The session included a discussion on recent cases where international shipments of counterfeit goods were detected and seized by Ruse Customs officers.
The training session in Ruse wrapped up the 2019 IP roadshow that run for the third consecutive year. During the calendar 2019 a total of 5 training sessions on location took place covering all the major regions in Bulgaria - Sofia, Kapitan Andreevo (Svilengrad), Burgas, Varna and Ruse and the corresponding customs offices. Over 100 customs officers from around the country had the opportunity to learn key elements in detecting counterfeit products on participating brands. The practical aspects of the trainings included sample reviews and interactive queries on distinguishing fake products from genuine ones.
Upon completion of the training sessions marathon Velizar Sokolov, the Managing partner of ARSIS Consulting was eager to point out: “I cannot stress enough the true significance of effective border monitoring regime and the importance of the work done by the Bulgarian Customs Agency in counteracting shipments of counterfeit goods. We are here to simply facilitate their work and provide support on a daily basis.
